Sunny Family Cult
Following our successful collaborations with Crypt TV, director Jibreal Younes and I were commissioned to develop a franchisable IP with long-form potential. I produced "7 Minutes in Heaven," which served as the pilot for the Sunny Family Cult series. The project was a massive success, spawning 13 additional episodes and securing a major consumer products deal with Spencer’s Gifts. This production highlights my experience in "proof-of-concept" filmmaking and my ability to scale short-form content into a multi-platform media franchise.
Elf on the Shelf
Director, Jibreal Younes and I were asked to develop the "Elf on the Shelf" toy into a genre-blended production for Crypt TV. This project required subverting a beloved family tradition into a visceral, unsettling narrative through practical effects and atmospheric storytelling. It served as my first production for the platform, establishing a successful blueprint for transforming recognizable pop-culture icons into original horror IPs.
Truth or Dare
I collaborated with director Jibreal Younes to adapt the platform's most successful chat fiction story into a mobile-first cinematic experience. This project allowed us to pivot from our traditional horror roots into the nuanced romantic comedy genre, focusing on vibrant, character-driven storytelling. By translating a text-based narrative into a polished short film, we helped Hooked pioneer a new medium for their award-winning digital IP.
Alien: Night Shift
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Alien, 20th Century Fox and Tongal selected director Aidan Brezonick and me to produce Alien: Night Shift. Chosen from over 550 global pitches, this project challenged us to recreate the franchise's legendary claustrophobic horror while honoring its 'blue-collar' sci-fi roots on an independent scale.
Poplar Adjacent
To sustain Hooked’s content pipeline during the COVID-19 pandemic, I led the end-to-end development and production of this two-part series entirely remote. By adapting the platform’s hit chat-fiction IP into a high-stakes digital spin-off, I translated the business need for consistent audience engagement into a lean, lockdown-compliant production workflow. This project serves as a prime example of my ability to maintain premium creative standards and brand continuity through innovative, remote-first logistics.
Where Is She?
For the high-stakes thriller "Where Is She?", I led the adaptation of one of Hooked’s most anticipated chat fiction stories into a visceral short film. This production required a sharp focus on building sustained tension and emotional weight through precise pacing and atmospheric cinematography. By translating the viral text-based suspense into a gut-wrenching cinematic experience, I helped the brand leverage its core IP to captivate a broader video-first audience.
Open Enrollment
Creative partner and director Jibreal Younes and I decided to produce a fun horror short film in 48 hours or less. This short film is the product of some friends having fun while pulling an all-nighter.
Did You Tell?
During the 2020 pandemic, I spearheaded this innovative, mobile-first production for Hooked to meet a massive surge in app engagement. Produced entirely over Zoom, the project required pioneering a remote-first workflow that transformed technical limitations into a unique creative collaboration between the cast and crew. This film demonstrates my ability to solve complex logistical challenges and maintain high production standards during a global crisis.
Exes & Owen
I built upon our initial remote production success to deliver an even more ambitious adaptation of Hooked’s high-performing chat fiction. By refining the remote-first workflow established during the pandemic, I coordinated a complex, multi-location narrative that pushed the creative boundaries of mobile-first storytelling. This project underscores my ability to iterate on technical processes to meet evolving business needs while delivering high-stakes, cinematic thrillers.
Dead Drop
While on-staff at Crypt TV, I partnered with multi-hyphenate creator Raymond Creamer to produce one of his most visionary narrative concepts. My role focused on translating his unique creative voice into a high-fidelity cinematic experience, ensuring the production stayed true to his original vision while meeting the platform's high-performance standards.
